Fingerprinting triangular-lattice antiferromagnet by excitation gaps

چکیده

CeCd$_3$As$_3$ is a rare-earth triangular-lattice antiferromagnet with large inter-layer separation. Our field-dependent heat capacity measurements at dilution fridge temperatures allow us to trace the field-evolution of spin-excitation gaps throughout antiferromagnetic and paramagnetic regions. The distinct gap evolution places strong constraints on microscopic pseudo-spin model, which, in return, yields close {\it quantitative} description behavior. This analysis provides crucial insights into nature magnetic state CeCd$_3$As$_3$, certainty regarding its stripe order low-energy model parameters that sets compelling paradigm for exploring understanding rapidly growing family rare-earth-based systems.

A Spin-Polaron Technique Utilized on Triangular-Lattice Antiferromagnet

By expressing the Holstein-Primakoff transformation in a symmetric form a modified spin-polaron technique utilized on triangular-lattice antiferromagnet is developed. With the technique, we have treated an extended t-J model, calculated the quasiparticle dispersion, and we also compared the the dispersion with that obtained by other method. Charge and Magnetic Orderings in Triangular Lattice Antiferromagnet InFe2O4

InFe2O4 belongs to the RFe2O4 family where R is trivalent cation (R = In, Yb, Lu, Er, or Y). In the rhombohedral crystal structure of this compound as shown in Fig. 1, the double layers of FeO5 bipyramids make two-dimensional triangular lattices and are separated by RO6 octahedra. Since the numbers of Fe and Fe ions are equal in the triangular lattice, the coexistence of charge and magnetic fru...

Resonant Magnetic X-ray Diffraction Study on the Triangular Lattice Antiferromagnet GdPd2Al3

Resonant magnetic x-ray diffraction experiments were carried out on the stacked triangular lattice antiferromagnet GdPd2Al3. The experiments revealed an expected initial collinear caxis order at TN1 followed by an additional in-plane order at TN2, while at the same time we found that the ground state is a helically ordered state of a very long incommensurate period of approximately 700 Å. The d...
